English Language Teaching (ELT) Undergraduate Program
Our English Language Teaching (ELT) Undergraduate Program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to teach English effectively in diverse contexts, cultures, and proficiency levels.
Unlike many similar undergraduate programs, our department offers a distinctive structure and curriculum encompassing five major areas of study, providing graduates with broader professional opportunities upon graduation:

About the Program
The ASBU TRNC Academic Unit English Language Teaching (ELT) Undergraduate Program commenced instruction in the 2018–2019 academic year. Rapidly growing through its expanding student body and academic staff, the ELT Program has quickly become one of the most preferred departments among prospective students.
Our Mission
Our mission is to educate highly qualified English language teachers who recognize the importance of multilingualism, are committed to continuous professional development, possess strong knowledge and skills in English language education, are equipped with contemporary language teaching methodologies, can effectively integrate technology into foreign language teaching, demonstrate high levels of professional competence and self-confidence, and are capable of communicating across diverse cultures. We aim to prepare teachers who can meet educational needs at both national and international levels.
Our Vision
Our vision is to contribute to foreign language education both locally and internationally by preparing 21st-century English language teachers who are passionate about both learning and teaching. Through a modern four-year English Language Teaching program that combines essential theoretical and practical professional knowledge, skills, and strategies, we strive to develop educators who are well-equipped to excel in diverse educational settings.
Students of the ASBU TRNC English Language Teaching Undergraduate Program:
